Kurita’s Contribution to Dragons Den Event to Inspire Young Entrepreneurs in Scotland

Kurita was proud to sponsor the West Lothian Schools Dragons’ Den Event in March 2025, organized by the Social Enterprise Academy in Scotland. This initiative aims to empower young people by providing a platform for innovative ideas.

It brings together individuals and organizations committed to nurturing the next generation, offering all young people opportunities to grow and develop. This support prepares them for the world of work while benefiting their communities and ultimately strengthening the local economy.

Support from Kurita

Kurita’s contribution was crucial in providing these young minds the opportunity to participate and thrive. Without the support and resources from sponsors, the event would not have been able to offer such transformative experiences to the children.

Sponsoring the event enabled to engage with influential community partners, such as UK Members of Parliament, local councillors, and police officers, to participate.

Projects and Achievements

The West Lothian Schools Dragons Den event, sponsored by Kurita, enabled young participants to present their social enterprise ideas. Some notable projects included:

  • LPS Blether Café: Supporting the School Clothing Bank
  • Refugee Committee: Cafe to support refugees
  • Bridgend Pet Supplies: Supporting pet owners in rural communities
  • Bake in a Bottle: Addressing local food poverty
  • Pomtastic: Funding school equipment for those in need

Winners included Linlithgow Academy’s “RAWF,” which sells footballs and T-shirts to promote women’s football, and Southdale Primary’s “Dalebay,” which provides affordable uniforms for parents.

Each pitch received seed funding to help grow or reinvest in their social enterprises.

Kurita is honored to have participated in the Dragons’ Den 2025, offering students the opportunity to conceive and develop sustainable enterprise solutions that they can manage.
