Al mismo tiempo, se encuentran entre los mayores consumidores de agua en una planta t\u00edpica, representando a menudo hasta 40% del uso total de agua del sitio.<\/p><p>Tradicionalmente, las estrategias de gesti\u00f3n del agua se han centrado en tratar el agua fresca de reposici\u00f3n antes de que entre en el sistema de refrigeraci\u00f3n. Aunque esto puede mejorar la calidad del agua, no ayuda mucho a resolver la dependencia general del agua o la generaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales. Una oportunidad mucho mayor consiste en replantearse la gesti\u00f3n de las purgas de las torres de refrigeraci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>La purga se descarga para controlar la concentraci\u00f3n de sales e impurezas en el circuito de refrigeraci\u00f3n. Al estar m\u00e1s concentrada que el agua de reposici\u00f3n, su reutilizaci\u00f3n se ha considerado hist\u00f3ricamente dif\u00edcil y arriesgada. El \u00e9xito de la reutilizaci\u00f3n de las purgas requiere un enfoque integrado que combine una profunda experiencia en aguas de refrigeraci\u00f3n con conocimientos avanzados en el tratamiento de
