Les principaux exemples sont l'hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, l'\u00e9nergie solaire, l'\u00e9nergie g\u00e9othermique, l'\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne et les biocarburants. Ces sources d'\u00e9nergie \u00e9taient relativement peu connues du plus grand nombre. Au cours des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, leur application a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en avant de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9e dans la lutte contre le changement climatique.\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">le changement climatique<\/span>. Conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 notre r\u00f4le dans l'UE, nous nous effor\u00e7ons d'\u00eatre le premier continent climatiquement neutre d'ici \u00e0 2050 ! Il s'agit sans aucun doute d'un objectif ambitieux. Ainsi, pour l'atteindre, les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s doivent cr\u00e9er des industries qui \u00e9mettent moins et induire des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes\/technologies qui peuvent absorber plus.<\/p><p>Les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES) contribuent massivement au changement climatique. Environ un quart de ces \u00e9missions est imputable aux transports (routiers et a\u00e9riens), qui d\u00e9pendent massivement des combustibles fossiles. Le secteur des transports de l'UE doit r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement ses \u00e9missions pour atteindre la neutralit\u00e9 carbone. Cet objectif ne peut \u00eatre atteint qu'en construisant une industrie durable qui tienne compte des carburants plus propres et des options de mobilit\u00e9.
