Cazanele \u0219i schimb\u0103toarele de c\u0103ldur\u0103 sunt cunoscute pentru susceptibilitatea lor la formarea depunerilor, din cauza diverselor impurit\u0103\u021bi prezente \u00een apa de alimentare. Apa de completare a instala\u021biei era preparat\u0103 prin dedurizarea apei la fa\u021ba locului, proces care prezenta \u00eens\u0103 ocazional probleme. \u00cen urma unei inspec\u021bii a suprafe\u021belor interne ale cazanului, s-a estimat c\u0103 grosimea depunerilor de calcar acumulate era de aproximativ 0,635 mm. Con\u0219tient\u0103 de faptul c\u0103 depunerile din cazane, care reduc eficien\u021ba, pot afecta profitul, pot duce la pierderi de ap\u0103 prin purjarea la cald \u0219i pot coroda echipamentele, unitatea a apelat la Kurita pentru a \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bi eficien\u021ba cazanelor \u0219i a reduce costurile
