The blast furnace process is the most energy consuming process among the all pig iron and steel production processes.<\/p>\n<p>The RDI (reduction degradation index) is a very important parameter that is used as a reference in all sintering work and serves to predict the sinter&#8217;s degradation behavior in the lower plant of the blast furnace stack.
