Effective application of Cetamine® FB and DReeM Polymer

Hintergrund

A major global food producer operates several boilers at his production site in Poland to serve the plant with process steam and heat. The make-up water is prepared by reversed osmosis (RO) and goes to the condensate tank. To increase the naturally low pH of the RO water sodium hydroxide solution is added upstream the condensate tank. From the condensate tank. From the condensate tank the water enters the deaerator where tannins and sodium hydroxide solution are dosed to the feedwater tank.

One of the boiler systems faced significant problems with corrosion and hardness scale on the boiler surfaces with the traditional treatment program.

As a solution, Kurita applied Cetamine® FB and DReeM Polymer Technology for removal and prevention of scale and protection of the boiler against corrosion.
