Improved detackification
Reduced total cost of ownership
Prevention of foam formation
Excellent antifoam and detackification performance with
Kuristuck Technology

Background

The customer is a passenger car producer and uses solvent based paint as primer coat and water borne paint for base coat. The customer’s main expectation was get an improvement in paint detackification and foam prevention caused by non-ionic surfactant in paint. This case study shows the impact of Kuristuck B-800 product applications on antifoam and detackification performance resulting in total cost of ownership reduction at paint booth applications.

Objectives

  • Good detackification with lower product dosage.
  • Improvement at sticky paint problem.
  • Keeping water neutral (or slightly alkali) without using hazardous chemicals for pH adjustment (e.g. caustic soda).
  • Prevent foam that is caused from non-ionic surfactant in paint.
  • Less blow down from water pit.
